The Young Workers Leadership Academy Service Project is a presentation created by NMCHS students after they attended the academy at UC Berkeley. They used the resources and tools provided to them to bring awareness to their peers at NMCHS on their rights as young workers and safety in the workplace.

My group was assigned a certain disease or injury associated with either a bone or a muscle. Additionally, we were given a drug to research and learn about its affects on the body.

Team members: Lorreign Garcia, Kelly Viray, and Alejandra Perez. The Sports Medicine Athletic Trainers of North Salinas High School figured out an interactive way of learning anatomy. We created removable labels on a life size skeleton model to help students depict the location of a bone, ligament, or joint and associate it with its name.
