Alondra Orozco, North Salinas High School, Art in the Digital Age
I created a graphic which included my name. This art piece was created through adobe spark. I used mainly stickers and the background that the app provided. The inspiration behind this piece was vintage. I named it Book Scrapping because in the end it looked like book scrapping.
Alondra Orozco, North Salinas High School, Art in the Digital Age
The original photo is of a sunflower field at the Columbia River Gorge. I used an orange hue because I wanted the flowers to stand out. I used the lasso tool to outline the hills and sky. With the “bouquet” brush I did the sunflowers, the “grass” brush for the stems and bodies of the flowers and the “leaves'' brush for the purple lavender flowers.

Anais Bustamante, North Salinas High, Art in the Digital Age
This work of art is based on the endangered species the African Wild Dog. I chose this animal because they are very compassionate towards each other which is rare. I want my audience to know that this animal is committed to the bond with their pack, such a caring animal should be kept safe and alive. This animal is endangered because it is
Andz Lorraine Ramirez, North Salinas High, Art in the Digital Age
Inspired by Joel Sartore's photos and his mission to deliver a message to the world about endangered species before they become extinct, I created an artwork of a critically endangered animal, the Sumatran Elephant. I was able to create an artwork to raise awareness using Adobe Illustration. So, even if it's a small change, I decided to make it.
Andz Lorraine Ramirez, North Salinas High, Art in the Digital Age
My animal spirit inspired me to create a beaver. It was fascinating to make a beaver by using Adobe Illustration from only geometric shapes. The value of colors made the artwork appear more alive and dimensional. The tools I used: pen tool, eye dropper, shapes, and bucket. If you think about it, beavers are the engineers of our water ecosystem.
Angel Herrera, North Salinas High, Art in the Digital Age
I made a pattern of wolves because they are amazing. I used the pen tool to trace it. Then I used the paint tool to get the colors that I used.
Angela Cruspero, North Salinas High, Art in the Digital Age
For this piece, I used a program called Medibangpaint Pro. It started out as a rough sketch on the program, then after a bit of erasing to emphasizes the body language to the characters in the middle. These characters are from a video game called PaRappa the Rapper and Um Jammer Lammy. The characters are used to show their enthusiasm towards music.
Endangered Species - Red Panda
Angela Cruspero, North Salinas High, Art in the Digital Age
In this work, I've went through the 7 Elements of Art. These elements include: Lines, Shape. Colors, Value, Texture, and Space. Instead of whites for the ears-- I've made it more of a cream white. White itself is too bright and I didn't want the viewer to be overwhelmed with the primary colors in their face.
Angelica Ortiz Fernandez, North Salinas High, Art in the Digital Age
This is a poster created by Angelica Ortiz Fernandez for Ms. Ghastin's Art in the Digital Age class. The project required students to find a picture of an endangered animal, trace it using Adobe Illustrator, and use the seven elements of art to create a minimalistic illustration that promotes awareness of the issues the endangered animal faces.
Brianna Ortiz, Gonzales High School, Art & Multimedia
The poster represents healing your inner mind and self healing. You need to overcome your stress response and develop healthier emotions.
Christopher Gonzalez, North Salinas High School, Art in the Digital Age
The work I am turning in is a project we did in our class for endangered species, I chose to do it on the Vaquita. The Vaquita is a sub-species of a dolphin, there are only 10 vaquitas alive in captivity. The Vaquita was killed in the past by illegal fishing in the northern part of the Gulf of California in Mexico (the Vaquitas natural habitat).

The Last Moments of the Black-Footed Ferret
Clara Delgado North Salinas High School, Art in the Digital Age
I created this piece on Illustrator to portray how the Black-footed ferret is endangered with only 370 of them left. I wanted to show how little time we have to help these species by using the image of it being in a hourglass and the use of the warm colors to show the importance and urgency of this.
Eddie Rincon, North Salinas High School, Art in the Digital Age

Endangered Animal Awareness- Black-Footed Ferret
George Ramirez, North Salinas High School, Art in the Digital Age
The black-footed ferret is a plains animal and the only ferret native to North America. I chose it because they have made an impressive recovery recently, and represent a recovery from the damage that was done to the great plains through irresponsible land management. I'd like the audience to consider how they can help endangered animals.

Today people often get caught up in their own lives which creates a strong sense of seclusion. Yet, what people really need in life is to make new connections. This piece is set in an airport where people are coming from different backgrounds and have a vast variety of life stories but are developing these valuable connections along their journey.

This virtual gallery shows what I've done this year in my digital art class. It is a work in progress.

A lonely girl in a metro. She doesn't know where she's headed, but she'll find out soon. This piece was made with Clip Studio in the form of a manga artwork.
Jade Nicole Sapien, North Salinas High School, Art in the Digital Age
This art piece was inspired by my love of the color purple showing a beautiful safe haven surrounded by purple skies, water, land. I can't help but feel at ease with the atmosphere. I used Photoshop to paint my semi-realistic landscape artwork.
Jaylen He, North Salinas High School, Art in the Digital Age
I drew a panda using the all the elements of art. Since pandas are some of the most critically endangered species in the world, I wanted to spread awareness about their declining population. Deforestation and poaching are killing them by the second and if we do not act fast, then the panda will be gone before we know it.
Jaylen He, North Salinas High School, Art in the Digital Age
I did a soundsuit that represents Asian culture and unity. Recently with the Covid pandemic, the increase in Asian hate and discrimination is at a all time high. This soundsuit embodies how we, the Asian community, must stay strong An example is the ladder hands that show how we must connect and reach to higher levels of love for each other.
Larry Picazo, Greenfield High School, Art
A poster about how plastic affects wildlife.
Leticia Ramirez, North Salinas High School, Art in the Digital Age
I chose to create this somber setting to bring awareness to what the world looks like to someone who struggles with Mental Health. With a mental illness the world around you just looks bland and bleak, void of any joy or life. I hope that my creation allows others to experience what it is like to live through someone who has these struggles.
Lilyana Zamora, North Salinas High School, Art in the Digital Age
I chose this because it is very pretty but also the butterfly population is dying. Only 2,000 monarch butterflies are left on the earth. People need to know that butterflies don't just come and go but they are the reason our flowers bloom.
Marven Frej, North Salinas High School, Art in the Digital Age
Doing this was one of the most fun things that I have done in this class because it connects with my style of creating art and it reflects a very accurate Image of me.
Matthew J. Alvarez, North Salinas High School, Art in the Digital Age

Nellie Mendoza, North Salinas High School, Art in the Digital Age
I chose to recreate the Monarch Butterfly because I admire the colors of the butterfly. I found it interesting that there are only 2,000 monarch butterflies last counted in California. I would like to bring awareness to this because climate change is currently threatening to disrupt the monarch butterfly’s annual migration pattern.
Paige McCollom, Salinas High School, Art in the Digital Age
This is a digital drawing of characters that created and then drew as a movie poster concept.
Paloma Gomez, North Salinas High School, Art in the Digital Age
I chose this theme because I feel like this needs to stop. It's so upsetting to me how kids can get taken away from their families and aren't treated well. These people are just trying to come to the United States to have a better life and I feel like they should have that opportunity.
Sage Melton, Carmel High School, Dance
It is often hard to accept the truth of the damage the human race has caused in the environment. Although it may seem that there is no hope for our future, there is light at the end of the tunnel with the sustainable actions younger generations are taking. This project helped me grow not just as a dancer, but as an artist and leader as a whole.
