Literature/Reading Information
Mrs. Rumsey will be the Literature teacher for both classes.
Our student selected reading program is Accelerated Reader.
Students are expected to read 5 books a quarter. Novels we read in class may be counted as a book.

Types of Sentences
Combining sentences
Students will explore various types of poems.
What will we read this year?
Brian has to survive in the Canadian wilderness all by himself. This book is about SURVIVAL.
Tragedy strikes a family when the father is sent to prison. This book is about dignity.
The boy had dreams of fighting in a battle. 24 hours on the Fighting Ground changes him forever. This book is about courage.
