I just got this picture of the Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches from their foster mom! They are doing great! They had more babies and they have been growing quickly. The ones that are a lighter color recently molted (shed) their exoskeleton. There is also a picture of a hisser that just molted!
Mrs. Miear, one of our fantastic librarians, and her family have been fostering our toad, gecko, and Spike. Spike looks like he has been doing well!
The animals are thriving in their foster homes. Below is a picture of the betta fish that was on my desk. She (and the snail and shrimp) are doing great! You will also see a picture of our hissing cockroaches. They are growing quickly, so I sent their foster mom a new, bigger tank. They have been eating a lot and are really active at night.
