Taco Party Winners
Taco Tuesday
The members of Mrs. Hasty's class and Mrs. Castanuela-Thiers' class enjoyed their taco party for winning the canned food drive led by the Spanish Club organization supported by JROTC and NHS.
Winning Classes
Congrats to the winning class for r helping raise close to 2200 pounds of food for the needy in the Conch Valley. All food was donated to the Concho Valley food bank.
Collaborating with Holiman Elementary
Spanish Club Members taught the 4th graders at Holiman how to give back to the community by creating Heart Wreaths for the elderly at Crest Nursing Home in San Angelo.
January's Trash Pick up
With the cold weather looming, Spanish Club members still managed to pick up trash on FM 2105. There were many furniture items found, and about eight bags of trash were picked up. In addition, Spanish club members collaborated with Student Council and NHS members.
Honoring Hard-working Teachers
With the help of our sponsors at Jim Bass Ford Cars and Trucks the Spanish Club honored the winner of the 2nd 9 weeks. Mr. Walker was described as a very energetic teacher who is passionate about teaching. He has very engaging lessons, and he brings in guest speakers on occasion. Congrats to this well- deserving educator.

Helping at the Santa Fe Railway Christmas

Nevaeh gave railway tours with a smile.
Members Peyton and Beatriz helped take donations and show off the train.
Kimberly dressed the part while giving tours to the public.
Angela hung out with the Grinch and worked until the event was over.

Helping the Community by donating to the Conexión Toy Drive
Andru, Victoriah, Kerstin, and Heaven stayed under budget while shopping for underprivledged kids of the community.
Toy Drive
This year the club members voted to use a portion of the club funds to buy toys for the KLST toy drive.
Spanish Club and Student Council Collaborating
During our second trash collection, Spanish Club collaborated with StuCo to collect trash along our two-mile stretch of highway on FM2105.
Giving Thanks
Thanks to our Sponsors at VIP Title the Spanish Club was able to give back to some of the most deserving employees at Lake View. They hardworking janitorial staff was presented with a charcuterie board before Thanksgiving.
Lake View's Food Drive
Lake View's canned food drive was very competitive this year, but the needy are the true winners.
Lake View showed the love by donating 1,782 pounds of food to the Concho Valley Food Bank in the food drive led by the Spanish Club.
Spanish club used a portion of its funds to provide 410 pounds of donated food.
Sharing the culture of Día de Los Muertos with Holiman Elementary
Nevaeh helped explain the imprtance of using color and paying tribute to deceased loved ones.
Aliyah and Beatriz led the presentation of the Day of the dead to the Holiman students successfully.
Better late than never: even though some members arrived late, they still helped monitor the Holiman students.
A select number of Spanish Club members taught the Holiman students the importance of Day of the Dead.
Fall Blood Drive
Spanish club members did a great job of doing their part in the fall blood drive. The officers helped do the initial planning, members helped with sign-ups, and much more. Thanks to everyone for helping save lives one pint at a time.
Adopt a Highway Community Service
Every year Spanish Club collaborates with StuCo and NHS to collect trash along the two-mile stretch on FM2105. Prior to starting the trash pick-up, members were given a safety meeting to collect trash safely.
Holiman's Fall Festival
Spanish club members helped out this year at the Holiman Fall festival. The members worked booths, did face painting, handed out candy, and even managed to have fun themselves.
