February Community Service

After attending morning classes and picking up trash, some of these dedicated members were headed to out of town games; and some had to go to work. This clean up had members of NHS, Student Council and of course Spanish Club.

Buying Gifts off of the Angel Tree
These awesome students endured the cold and rain to shop for children off of the Angel tree at Walmart. They came in under budget but the happiness they are going to give to children in need is priceless.
Christmas with the Elderly at Baptist Memorial Nursing Home
Spanish Club members spread a little Christmas cheer to the residents at the Baptist Memorial Nursing home. Mrs. Chancellor was gracious enough to take a picture with the club members. The students sang, delivered gifts, and most importantly spent time with the residents.

Supporting other LV groups
Every year the Spanish Club members raise money through different fundraisers to help the community and other Lake View groups as well. The Lake View Spanish Club is made up of 10% of the Lake View student body, and many members are part of so many sports, clubs, and community activities. For the past three years, Spanish Club has contributed to the Hospitality Room for the McCutchen Tournament. Spanish Club donates the food, and Mrs. Castanuela-Thiers does the cooking and baking.
Accepting the trophy and representing the Spanish Club were Maria Jimenez, Yamileth Guerrero, and Fabiola Felipe.
