Stamford is a member school of the South East Asia Student Activities Conference (SEASAC), an elite Sports and Co-Curricular Activities league with a total of 16 member schools in the region. SEASAC activities include arts, badminton, basketball, cross-country, golf, gymnastics, Model United Nations (MUN), football, swimming, rugby, touch rugby, softball, tennis and volleyball. SEASAC provides opportunities for students to travel and represent Stamford around the region as well as offers our school the chance to host SEASAC events.
SEASAC sports are divided into two 8-team divisions, with relegation and promotion occurring each tournament based on a team's results. The last time SAIS hosted a SEASAC event, Division 2 Volleyball, was in November of 2019 when the Lions Girls were promoted into Division 1!
SEASAC exists to support International Schools in the SE Asian region in achieving their educational goals. Through a range of sporting and artistic activities, it aims to promote closer links among teachers, administrator, and students of its member schools; to encourage opportunities for healthy competition and the pursuit of excellence; to develop and extend social and cultural interaction; and to promote an appreciation of the rights, dignity, and worth of every person. There are 16 International Schools in SEASAC from Singapore (5), Thailand (4), Malaysia (3), Indonesia (1), Hong Kong (1), Myanmar (1), and Vietnam (1).
