Welcome to our newsletter!!!!!
Hello 8th Grade Parents and Guardians,
Welcome! We had a great start to our shortened week. We were able to grow closer as homerooms, learn more about ourselves, and review how we create a great community at St. Sebastian.
This week has only 1 reminder:
Please encourage your student to bring a hand-drawn or printed out version of a digitized drawing for our 8th grade sweatshirts. It is a great tradition and we encourage all students to submit a design.
Our hope is to get these designs submitted quickly so that we can receive the sweatshirts that much earlier. Designs are due Tuesday, September 2nd.
Thank you and God Bless,
Emery and Jennifer

Dear Guardians and Parents,
Another week has already come and gone. On Wednesday, we celebrated our first all school Mass as a community. The 8th graders did an excellent job planning and leading different parts of the Mass. Please know that you are always welcome to come and sit with us. We collected sweatshirt designs this week and they were super cool. We hope to get out the order form soon and get the sweatshirts shipped here ASAP. Finally, nominations for student council were collected this week. Be sure to ask your student if they signed up.
We are especially proud of our 8th graders in their academics. Things are off to a great start in both Pre-Algebra and Algebra. Your children are making great strides in the class that best suits their abilities. In Social Studies, your children did an amazing job recalling different events that they learned about in class last year. Nicely Done!!!!
A few reminders

We look forward to seeing you there

This week in character strong, we talked about how the lessons work, why we do them, and how important our attitude is when we approach our lessons.

Hello Guardians and Parents,
We hope you have had a fabulous week. This week in 8th grade, we worked on our visions for the future. In Character Strong we focused on the story of our life, contemplated what challenges await us in high school, and planned what strengths/values would help us overcome these obstacles. Although its hard work to plan for your future, it leaves you with a vision and a desire to achieve it.
This week we also planned the Mass and showed our school community our commitment to our faith life. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and helped the 8th grade practice any roles they had!
A few reminders:
Tuesday, Nov. 25th is a 1/2 day for students who should be picked up at 11:30
The rest of the week is off for Thanksgiving Break- Enjoy the time with your child!!!!
Report Cards will be going home Dec. 5th. Please ensure they are signed and returned to your homeroom teacher
