The First Grade uses the following grading scale:
E=Exceeds Proficiency-Student exceeds grade level expectations and assignment is completed with his or her best effort.
P=Proficient-Student grasps concept presented/practiced-meets grade level expectations.
D= Developing-student is developing his or her understanding of presented concepts, continued reinforcement and practice is needed.
N=Needs Support-Student is not meeting grade level expectations. Student needs additional time and instruction to grasp concepts presented.
Final grades in all subjects are based on daily work, class participation,
homework, and tests. You will see that some written assignments are simply
checked and do not receive a grade. We do much practice and not all work will
be graded
