Make sure to keep the phone ringer on and set to the loudest setting you can
Fill out your duty log prior to 9am the next day, ideally it should be filled out right after you wrap up your rounds
If there is an incident, fill out your IR report within 2 to 3 hours of the incident. This is crucial for professional staff since we will need to follow up with the students involved appropriately and timely
When answering the phone you should be answering "RA on Duty this is Your name here. How can I help you?"

Fri-- 8p-12p
Sat-- 12p-12p
Sun-- 12p-9a
Holidays-- 12p-12p
Rounds are conducted at 9:30 PM & 12:30 AM
These are done together with one RA from First-Year and Returner Campus
Walkthrough all stairwells, hallways, restrooms, lounges, etc.
**All restrooms need to be checked. You must knock on the door and announce yourself entering. "Male identifying RA entering"
Use your senses to identify any issues
Eyes: look for any issues with fire extinguishers, maintenance, residents in distress
Ears: listen for any excessive noise, loud parties, or arguments
Nose: smell of alcohol or illicit substances in the residence halls
