1. School Advisory Council
The School Council is an advisory body to the principal and pastor. The Council consists of parents of Saint Patrick Catholic School students, Saint Patrick parishioners, and a representative from the school staff. Candidates are nominated by the pastor and principal.
2. PTO
Saint Patrick Catholic School has an active Parent Teacher Organization. The PTO is a gathering place for parents and teachers to come together to share ideas, suggestions, and comments for the benefit of Saint Patrick School. Meetings are held bi-yearly and will be announced in the school newsletter. It is not strictly used as a fundraising body. This year the PTO is planning school events on the third Sundys of each month.
3. Spirit Assemblies
Spirit Assemblies are usually held on the last Friday of each month. A specific class provides entertainment for the entire student body and guests based on monthly Bible verses/ and life skills. Parents, grandparents, and other family members are encouraged to attend. Students will sit with their class at all times to avoid confusion. Virtue recognition along with academic or other awards will be presented at this time.
4. Classroom Parents
Preschool through Third-grade teachers may ask for parent volunteers in the classroom. Each teacher has individual, specific needs for their class. At the beginning of the school year, teachers will send home any requests for regularly scheduled classroom volunteers. The teachers may also ask for volunteers for specific events throughout the year.
5. Tutors
At times, teachers may specifically ask individual parents to assist with tutoring a student. This is strictly based on teacher and student needs.
6. Fundraising Committees
Fundraising Committees may be needed for individual class events as well as school-wide events. If volunteers are needed, a communication will be sent home. If you hear of an event and are interested in being involved, please call the school office.
7. Playground Supervisors
Adult volunteers are asked to watch the students during lunch recess. If interested, please contact the school office.
8. Cafeteria Servers
Our Cafeteria Manager asks for a volunteer each day to help with serving and clean up following lunch. Please contact the school office if interested in this position.
9. Coffee Club
This PTO group consists of parents who are willing to volunteer an hour or two each week to assist teachers with some of their classroom preparations. Tasks include photocopying, cutting, sorting papers, and any other miscellaneous task that the teachers may need assistance with. If you are interested, please call the office.
10. Annual Fund Campaign
An annual fund was implemented in 2009 to be used for the benefit of the school's operating budget. Chairpersons (usually a couple) are asked to lead the campaign. Please notify the school office if you are interested.
11. Reverse Raffle
Our annual Reverse Raffle is a major fundraiser for the school generating approximately $20,000 each year. Committee members are needed to coordinate this fun-filled event. We need committee members for worker list, silent auction, set-up, etc.
12. Miscellaneous
There are many miscellaneous events/occasions throughout the school year in which volunteers are needed. These requests may come from the teachers or the office personnel. Please GET INVOLVED!
