Closely looking at The Conjuring: The Last Rites 

When I was first assigned this assignment, I had no idea where to go. I wasn't sure if I should pick a picture of me or one that relates to me, or a picture already in the public eye. I picked a picture that mixes both. I picked the movie poster for one of my favorite movie series of all time, The Conjuring movies. 

Using what we did in class and what we have read, here is what I have to say. The Who: It is a poster showing Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) right side up and Ed Warren (Patrick Wilson) upside down. The What: They seem to be screaming, and overall, their positioning creates a devil-like figure in the middle. The When: This is the real question, because it is not a picture; there is no set time. However, in the past, the posters for these movies have taken screenshots from the movies and used them for promotional purposes, so, while I am not sure of the when, I am almost positive that it is in the movies and will probably be seen in the very beginning or the very end. The Where: There is no way for me to know for sure where this is happening; however, the movie takes place in Pennsylvania, so it is safe to say that this was taken then. 

Overall, it looks like Ed and Lorraine are yelling at something, probably the demonic character that will be creating the issues in the movie. The wording "prepare for the end" leads to the understanding that something, not specified, will be ending and, due to the positioning of the characters, it will have something to do with the demonic spirits.
