I would say that DPH is the use of technology and different platforms to create, interpret, and share different works throughout the humanities for the public. I think that this is important because it makes what the humanities do, research, literature, and analysis, more accessible and relevant. This creates a widespread grasp on the work done, giving everyone the chance to engage with history and storytelling in ways that they have never been able to before.
Something that I will be taking away from this class is something that I thought I already knew how to do, but I have been given a new perspective. The close reading skills that we have learned in this class are one of the main things that I will be taking away. I think that it can be applied to things beyond the classroom, but in the real world. Using what is and is not there to piece together a story that was previously not mentioned. All very interesting to me.
