Include details to make your story interesting.
Write neatly and do your best spelling.
Try to make your story have a beginning, middle, and end.
If you want it a little stronger, use this version instead:

Homework Schedule
Students in 3rd grade will have a consistent homework routine to support practice and responsibility at home.
Math (checked everyday for completion)
A short math workbook page will be sent home each night to reinforce the day’s lesson.
Spelling practice will follow a weekly pattern (Spelling Notebook to be turned in every Friday for a possible 8/8 for full completion)
Monday: Write the words each word 3 times each
Tuesday: Put the words words in alphabetical order
Wednesday: Write 10 complete sentences using each word. Sentences must be:
At least 6 or more words
A capital letter at the start and no repeat starts to the sentences
Correct punctuation at the end
Neat handwriting (cursive, if possible)
Two sentences must be questions
Thursday: Complete a spelling pre-test administered by parents
Friday: No Homework
Reading
All students are expected to read 15 minutes each night.
Students may choose books they enjoy from home, the classroom, or the library.
Due Date: All homework is due by 8:05 AM the following school day.
Late Work:
Homework may be turned in one day late for partial credit.
Homework turned in more than one day late will not be accepted.
Grading System:
Homework completion is averaged as a weekly homework grade.
Excused Circumstances:
Illness, family emergencies, or school-approved absences will be excused with parent/guardian communication.
