About Ms. Reyes
I am excited to welcome your child to Third Grade at Saint Leo the Great Catholic School. My background includes work in law and government, serving as a Teaching Assistant in English Literature at Pace University, and supporting students here at Saint Leo as a Second Grade Instructional Assistant. These experiences have prepared me to guide students with structure, empathy, and high expectations. Outside of school, I enjoy walking and hiking with my daughter and our dog, and I have a lifelong love of reading and art history that I look forward to sharing with my students.

Classroom Culture
At Saint Leo the Great, our school theme this year is “Be the Light of Hope.”
In 3rd grade, we will show this by:
– Practicing kindness and respect in our words and actions
– Taking responsibility for our learning and choices
– Encouraging one another
– Living our faith through prayer, service, and Christian values
Each week, students will reflect on how they can bring light to our classroom and community in small, meaningful ways.
Every two weeks, our class will celebrate a Classroom Spotlight Student.
Classmates will create paper hearts with compliments and examples of how the student has been a “light for others.”
These hearts will be displayed on our “Hearts for Jesus” bulletin board, reminding us we can share Christ’s love through our words and actions.
Parents will see this board in our classroom, and I’ll share highlights in newsletters so families can join in celebrating each child.
