Emmanuel Macron



Emmanuel Jean Michel Fredric Macron is the 25th president and current president of France since 2017. He is also one of the two co-princes of Andorra. President Macron was born on December 21, 1977.

  The French Political System

France is a unitary state organized on a decentralized basis under the 1958 Constitution. The political system of France consists of an executive branch, a legislative branch, and a judicial branch. The Government consists of the Prime minister and ministers, The prime minister is appointed by the president. The prime minister is always supported by a majority of the lower house. France used to be a highly centralized country, with two tiers of local government, the Departments and the Municipalities. The nation declares itself to be an indivisible, secular , democratic, and social Republic. Former Presidents can also be members of the council if they want to.

While France is a unitary state, its administrative region, departments and communes have various legal function and the national government is banned from intruding into their normal operations. France was a founding member of the European Coal and Steel Community. France has moved part of its sovereignty to European institution as provided by its constitution. The french government has to abide by European treaties, directives and regulation.

Constitution 

The constitution does not contain a bill of rights in itself, but it preamble mention that France should follow the principles of the Declaration of the Right of Man and of the Citizen. The foundational principles of the constitution include

. And the rejection of those who existed prior to the French Revolution
