Week of 11/3-11-7

-This week is the annual Candy Drive. Bring in any unwanted Halloween candy to support service members.  The class with the most pounds of candy collected wins a free dress day.

-STAR testing is this week. STAR reading is on Wednesday 11/5 and STAR math is on Thursday 11/6.  

Assignments

-Wonder comprehension questions are due on Friday

-45 minutes of Membean practice due by Sunday

-NRI quiz on commas in a series on Thursday (there is art on Wednesday)

-All current NRI assignments should be completed if they are not already, except for the two early finisher prompts.

-The annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest is this week.  Submissions are due at Tarantino Hall on Monday 10/27.

-We have a class field trip to the Marin Humane Society on Wednesday 10/29

- Study your comprehension questions and the elements of a novel graphic organizer

-Chapter 2 religion test on Thursday 10/30

-Study the chapter 2 review in Blest Are We workbooks and be familiar with the story of Father Miguel Pro and The Paschal Mystery

Don't just Study the Kahoot! Also study:

• pages 40-41 in your workbooks on the different environments 

• page 44 on the Inuit interview questions

• the origin story of the Hopis

• the practices of making pictographs from the Lakotas

• the 9 vocabulary terms that are bolded in the text (you can find a flashcard deck on TCI online)

• Make sure you are familiar with the migration map we discussed in class that is also located in your workbook, know how to read the latitude and longitude

-complete the Winter Count on page 5 of the social studies packet for this unit by Thursday

Welcome to week 2! I am excited to meet parents and guardians at Back to School Night on Wednesday 9/3.  

The start date for hot lunch is now Tuesday 9/9. Please bring a packed lunch this week.

We have STAR testing this week so please make sure to have ipads in class and fully charged everyday. 

Week of 8/25-8/29

Welcome back families! Reminder that there is no hot lunch on Thursday or Friday. The hot lunch program begins on Tuesday, 9/2.  Extended care begins on Wednesday 8/27. All students are welcome to extended care and do not need to sign up in advance.
