SAFE ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE REGULAR CONTACT WITH CHILDREN

Each of the following 5 requirements are needed to volunteer in any way if you have regular contact with children in the parish: Scouts, CCD teachers, chaperones, coaches, or school volunteers

CLEARANCES: 

(be sure to check "Volunteer" so you don't have to pay)

1) Pennsylvania Criminal background check Certificate - dated within 5 years.

2) Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance - dated within 5 years

3)  Training Part 1:  Protecting God's Children (Live online sessions or at  parish locations): 

·   VIRTUS® Online (virtusonline.org)   YOU ONLY NEED TO ATTEND THIS ONE TIME

·    submit the Certificate of Completion for Safe Environment Part 1 “Protecting God’s Children”  

4) Training Part 2 “Mandated Reporting” (do on your own online)

submit the Certificate of Completion for Safe Environment Part 2 “Mandated Reporter Training” 

5) Volunteer Disclosure Statement (signed by you yearly).  The office will provide the copy.

·       As you complete each of these Trainings, please send a copy of the Signature pages to Beth Barnes in the School Office, Margy Bott in the Religious Education Office, or the Scout or CYO Board -- depending on what area of the parish you are volunteering for.
