What is the Parish Religious Education Program?
The Parish Religious Education Program is a formal religious education program which provides faith formation and sacrament preparation to parish children who attend local public schools. In our parish we call it CCD which stands for Confraternity of Christian Doctrine. All parishes are required to have CCD programs!
What Grade Levels are included in the Program?
We provide instruction to students from Grades K - 7
When are classes scheduled to begin? to finish?
CCD classes begin in September and conclude in May.
What is the roster of class days and session times?
Tuesday Afternoon 4:30 pm - 5:45 pm
Sunday Morning 10:45 am - 11:50 am
Confirmation Prep classes for 7th graders begin in the spring of 6th grade, continue in September and end at the time of Confirmation (usually October/November), Tuesdays and Sundays, same times

How can a parishioner enroll a child in CCD?
Registration of children in CCD begins in the Spring.. Newly registered parishioners can enroll a child at any time following registration in the parish. Call the rectory office to get started on parish registration: 610-356-1613 or download the registration form from the parish website saintanastasia.net.
Families RETURNING to our program will receive an email in April/May inviting them to enroll for the following year. Payment may be completed online through Parish Giving (saintanastasia.net) or via check or cash.
New families should contact our office to start the registration process.
What is the registration fee required?
The registration fee is required at the time of CCD registration. Pay by check or Parish Giving on the website: saintanastasia.net (send receipt to Mrs. Haggerty)
Classroom CCD: $200 one/250 family
Homeschool CCD: $100 one child/$125.00 family
Is there any record required with CCD registration?
New students: A copy of a child's Baptismal certificate
The family must also be registered with Saint Anastasia Parish. Please contact the parish office at 610-356-1613 or saintanastasia.net
What is the attendance policy of CCD/PREP?
It is Archdiocesan policy and our policy that 3 or more absences during the course of the CCD calendar year is considered excessive.
What is an excused absence?
Excused absences include: illness of the student, serious illness in the family, death in the family, quarantine, or other urgent reason. Please contact Mrs. Haggerty or Mrs. Bott with your reason for absence.
Is there a procedure for early dismissal from a class?
Emergency circumstances arise from time to time which would make early dismissal necessary. In the event that an early dismissal is necessary, the parent or guardian who will be escorting a child from the school building is to contact Mrs. Haggerty. The Director or a Hall monitor will escort the child to the lobby for pickup. A note must be provided before class time. 3 or more early dismissals during the course of the PREP calendar year is considered excessive and children will have to complete work at home.
Who is my child's Catechist (religion teacher)?
All of of CCD teachers are volunteers! If you are interested in teaching (it's fun!), contact Mrs. Haggerty. You will receive basic training and support and a teacher's edition which provides detailed lesson plans
How do I register for the Homeschool CCD Program?
Fill out the regular registration form, select "Homeschool." Mrs. Haggerty will contact you with more information.
