Week of 3/23/20:

Please have children watch the video link below. This will help to recite and pronounce the family terms in Spanish with the speaker in the video.

Class assignment: Draw a pic of your family and please don't forget your family pets. Be creative and have fun! Be sure to label the members of your family using the new Spanish vocabulary.

la familia - family. el padre / papa - father

Week of 3/30/20: This week students will learn about animals in Spanish.

Please watch the video attached below. Then, pick your favorite animal from the video. If your favorite animal is not in the video no worries! Draw a picture of your favorite animal and hang it up at home so everyone in your house to enjoy it.



Week of 4/6/20 This week during Holy Week, I will not be posting a new written assignment. I have attached a link of some Easter vocabulary for the kids. Enjoy watching together. May God Bless and keep all of you safe this Easter season. Enjoy the time with your family!

Week of 4/20/20: This week we will finish our lesson on animals.

Vocabulario:

gato - cat pato - duck

perro - dog culebra - snake

pez - fish pajaro - bird

Ask the kids the riddles and see if they can guess the animal in Spanish.

  1. Both words begin with the same letter, and both animals have fur? ( pajaro/pato)

  2. These two animals walk and are house pets? ( perro, gato)

  3. Both animals begin with the same letter. One quacks and the other barks? ( perro, pato)

  4. Both of these animals like to live in water? ( pato , pez)

  5. These animals do not haveur or feathers? ( culebra, pez )

Week of 4/27/20: This week you will watch a video in Spanish. I will ask someone at home to read the English words as you watch the video in Spanish. This video is about a baby fawn. The fawn gets hurt and looks to those around him for help. It is just like us needing to help each other during virtual learning. I hope you enjoy the video. Your assignment is to hug the person who helped you with this video. I miss all of you!

Week of 5/6/20: This week you will learn about places to go. Some of the places are:

Week of 5/11/20: Arco Iris / Rainbow: Please listen to the song in the link attached. It is one of my favorite songs. It is about a rainbow. This year we learned about the colors in Spanish. Go outside and draw your own rainbow/ arco iris. Use los colores: rojo, amarillo, azul, morado, verde, cafe, anaranjado, rosado. Please share photos of your rainbows. They shine bright just like each and every one of you! I miss all of you!!!

Week of 5/18/20: We will begin to review some of the lessons we covered this year. Attached is a fun number game your child can play. It is a fun way to review. Have fun!

Week of 6/1/20: Gracias por un ano fantastico/ Thanks for a wonderful year! I hope your family has a fun and relaxing summer.
