School vaccination requirements for the 2025-2026 school year have not changed from previous years.
PreK entry requirements:
Dtap (4 doses)
Polio (3 doses)
Hepatitis B (3 doses)
MMR (1 dose)
Varicella (1 dose)
Haemophilus influenzae type b conjugate vaccine (Hib) (1 dose)
Pneumococcal Conjugate vaccine (PCV) (1 dose)
Kindergarten requirements:
Dtap (5 doses)*
Polio (4 doses)*
Hepatitis B (3 doses)
MMR (2 doses)
Varicella (2 doses)
*-depending on age at the last dose, the final vaccine not be required - see the handout from NY State
Once students are fully immunized for kindergarten, they do not need any more vaccines until entering 6th grade.
Entering 6th graders need one more dose of Tdap
Entering 7th graders need one dose of Meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MenACWY)
Entering 12 graders need a second dose of Meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MenACWY)
New York State does NOT currently require vaccination for Covid-19, but is strongly recommended.
