Your voice matters! The Student Representative Voice is a body formed by students, for students. This platform serves as a conduit for expressing concerns, suggestions, and ideas. Elected representatives work collaboratively with faculty and staff to ensure that student perspectives are heard and valued. This initiative reflects our commitment to creating a campus community that actively involves and responds to the needs of our diverse student body.
Elections for the New Committee:
Be a part of the change! Elections for the new Student Representative Voice committee will take place early in the semester. This is your opportunity to step up, make a difference, and represent your peers. Be sure to consult the Event Semester Planner to see when elections are and how you can get involved in shaping the future of student representation at SAE Institute Cape Town.
Create a Campus Club:
If you have an idea for a club, connect with the SRV to start the process of creating a new campus club. This is an excellent way to bring like-minded individuals together and enhance your campus experience.
Contact the SRV President should you wish to join the SRV or create a club!
The Student Representative Voice (SRV) is a diverse group of students from all departments, dedicated to enhancing campus life.
Our focus is to:
Advocate for students' academic and non-academic needs
Address academic concerns promptly and effectively
Support campus governance and student body management
Foster professionalism and mutual respect between students and staff Shape and influence student culture Organize activities that promote social development, mental wellness, and extracurricular engagement
Beyond social and academic support, the SRV prioritizes student mental well-being.
In addition to industry seminars, we host mental health sessions where students can seek advice on managing academic stress, burnout, and more. At the end of each semester, an anonymous survey is sent out to gather feedback and suggestions, helping us continuously improve the student experience on campus.
