We are thrilled to welcome all our new students to campus as you begin this exciting journey with us. During orientation, you had the opportunity to engage in various sessions, including Academic Orientation, Department Orientation, Research Orientation, and System Orientation — all designed to set you up for success. We wrapped up the week with a social, giving you a chance to connect with your fellow creatives and start building your network.

We’ll also cover the rules for studios and classrooms, ensuring you understand how to work safely and professionally in our creative spaces. Additionally, you’ll learn about the gear booking process, so you can access the equipment you need for your projects.
Most importantly, you’ll meet your academic faculty, a team of industry professionals here to guide and support you throughout your journey. This is your chance to ask questions and get to know the people who will help shape your experience at SAE!
Strong research and writing skills are essential for success at SAE. In this session, we’ll cover the fundamentals of plagiarism and referencing, ensuring you understand how to properly credit sources and maintain academic integrity.
You’ll also be introduced to the Writing Lab, a valuable resource for improving your academic writing, and DraftCoach, a tool designed to help you refine your work before submission.

Get ready to navigate the digital tools that will support your studies at SAE! In this session, you’ll be introduced to the Mac or PC systems used in your classes, ensuring you’re comfortable with the technology that powers your creative work.
You’ll also learn how to use Canvas, our Learning Management System (LMS), where you’ll access course materials, submit assignments, and stay connected with your lecturers. Additionally, we’ll guide you through the Classe365 platform where you can track your attendance, access your academic transcript, and view your digital student card.
