Watch from 4:50 - 6:00 minutes but use the settings to the right (not his settings).
IMPORTANT step for avoiding clipping and an excessive noise floor.
TRANSMITTER: Check the input ‘SENSITIVITY’ is set to ‘-24dB’ for normal speaking and ‘-30dB’ for yelling. Test this by looking at the audio level ‘AF’ display. Also check the ‘AF peak’ light is NOT lighting up when speaking.
RECEIVER: Check the receiver output volume ‘AF OUT’ is set to ‘0dB’.
Turn on your radio mic receiver (make sure that your transmitter is turned OFF).
Check that your receiver ISN’T receiving any signal (this shows whether there is interference on your chosen frequency).
If your receiver is receiving interference, change the frequency of the receiver and transmitter.
Turn on your transmitter and ensure the receiver is now receiving full signal. If not, check the transmitter and receiver have the same frequency setting.
A video demonstration of how to change frequencies on the radio mics.
Please note: The NOISE FLOOR on this video is completely unacceptable and disgusting. I can't even listen to it 😂
