TA3 to XLR Male Cables
10m XLR (x1 for single channel, x2 for two channels).
NOTE: Phantom power can blow up equipment
Turn off phantom power before plugging in.
1. CHANNEL NUMBER: Decide if you will send 1 or 2 channels of audio to camera.
2. C100 HANDLE SETTINGS:
‘M’ for manual
‘LINE’ for line level
‘EXT’ for external input
If only sending one channel of audio to camera, set the c100’s spare channel (whichever one you aren’t plugging the f8 into) to use the top mic by selecting ‘A’, ‘INT’ or plug in your own top mic to the spare channel.
3. CONNECT TA3 CABLE TO ZOOM F8 OUTPUT:

4. CONNECT 10m XLR: Connect your XLR extension cable to the end of the short TA3-XLR cable you just plugged into the zoom.
5. CONNECT XLR TO CAMERA: Connect your XLR to the audio input of the c100.
6. TURN ON TONE: Turn on ‘TONE’ on the zoom by holding the silver toggle switch to the right for 2 seconds (until tone locks on).
7. SET LEVELS ON THE C100: Use the audio level wheels on the c100 (located just above the audio switches on the handle) to set your audio level on the c100 so the meter reads -20db.

7. PAN YOUR INPUTS ON THE ZOOM:
If you are running two channels of audio to the camera, you will need to pan your microphones to send them down either channel.
Press the ‘PFL’ button for the channel you want to adjust, scroll down and select 'Pan', set the panning to 'L100' for output 1, or 'R100' for output 2.
