Spotting Log
Starting from the beginning, use markers to spot sounds that you are going to need.
Use the following prefix for your marker names:
DX (dialog/narration that needs attention/replacement)
Listen through all production dialogue.
Identify which dialogue needs to be replaced and make markers for each of them.
MX (music)
SFX (sound effects)
Foley (Footsteps)
Atmos (environment/background)
For example, if there is a footstep you can name the marker ‘Foley footstep’
In the markers dialogue box, at the bottom, is a 'comments' box - here you can type what you intend to do with the selected audio.
After completing the project you will need to export your Spotting Log as a text document. Remember to check and select only the required items in your text export.
