Sacs Messaging Service

To opt in to SACS text messaging for weather related delays and cancellations, follow the steps below. It’s very simple.

    • Did you enter your cell number during online registration? Only numbers in PowerSchool are eligible to receive SACS text messages.

    • From the cell phone – type Y or YES to 67587

    • Users should receive immediate confirmation of opting in and should be eligible to receive future SACS Communication.

    • All SACS texts will come from the number 67587.

    • Further information can be found on the SACS website under Resources/Connect with SACS

Those who may have completed this authorization process in years past DO NOT need to repeat. A user is eligible until they manually type STOP to 67587 or they remove their number from PowerSchool. If they are unsure, or do not remember if they opted in, encourage them to do it again. There is no harm done typing Y or Yes, again.

FAQ

Q) WHAT IS THE WIFI PROJECT?

A) The WiFi Project wants to help connect Indiana residents and business owners, like YOU, to reliable high-speed internet!

Q) HOW DOES THIS PROCESS WORK?

A) The WiFi Project will target unserved and underserved areas. Do you have no access to the internet? Is your internet inadequate? If you answered “YES” to either of those questions, we want to know! Enter your information into the online portal by visiting www.thewifiproject.com.

Q) HOW DO I KNOW IF I’M ELIGIBLE?

A) Let’s answer your question with a couple more questions! Are you an Indiana resident or business owner? Do you lack access to the internet or have connection speeds less than 25 Mbps download and 3Mbps upload? If you answered “YES” to both of these questions, then you may be eligible!

Q) HOW DO I KNOW WHAT MY CURRENT CONNECTION SPEED IS?

A) We have a great resource to test your speed! Simply visit www.infarmbureau.org! Run this speed test several times at different times throughout the day for your most accurate results.

Q) WHAT HAPPENS ONCE I'VE SUBMITTED MY INFORMATION?

A) Every 90 days, providers will have the opportunity to review the addresses and submit bids to the state on the cost of extending a line of service to these locations. Then, the state reviews those bids and awards funding to the chosen provider(s) so that they can work towards getting access to your area. Please note that inputting your location and information into the Next Level Connections portal does not guarantee an extension of service.

Q) HOW DO I SUBMIT MY INFORMATION?

A) You can submit your address and information through www.thewifiproject.com, by phone at 833- 639-8522, or by mail to the following address:

Indiana Broadband Connect Center Office of Community and Rural Affairs

1 N. Capitol Ave., Suite 600 Indianapolis, IN 46204

Q) IF I SUBMIT MY INFORMATION, WILL I AUTOMATICALLY RECEIVE SERVICES?

A) There are many factors and eligibility requirements to determine qualification for the program. The first step is filling out the form, and afterward, the Next Level Connections team will verify eligibility and determine the next steps!
