Abstract: Prime numbers and their distribution in integers, congruence classes and conjugacy classes of absolute Galois groups. A glimpse of the famous results of Dirichlet and Chebotaryov about prime density and also the celebrated prime number theorem and its connection with the Riemann hypothesis. The Chebyshev's bias and its meaning in statistical terms like Markov chains and conditional distributions. The talk will be mostly accessible and of interest to the first-year UG students onwards.
