Texas Beach

Texas Beach: Texas Beach in Richmond, Virginia is a riverside area located south of Maymont and west of Hollywood Cemetery. The area is named Texas Beach after Texas Avenue in the Maymont neighborhood, which was the original street to reach the recreation area. This is a remote James River location featuring trails for hiking, dog walking, or mountain biking. There are also beaches facing the River, as well as a Skatepark just before the trails begin. I’ve enjoyed visiting there since I was younger with my friends and family and I received great exercise and fun. I’ve enjoyed the skatepark, walking my dog, and swimming in the James River with my friends and family. I would definitely recommend this location to any family looking for a quiet outdoor activity, a river day trip, or some exercise.
