Continued reading is so important for building literacy development. There are tons of great resources for accessing books for our older and younger students with visual impairments. Bookshare makes reading easier. People with dyslexia, blindness, cerebral palsy, and other reading barriers can customize their experience to suit their learning style and find virtually any book they need for school, work, or the joy of reading
Texas State School for the Blind offers Braille Book downloads. You can search the card catalog for dxb files. If you come across a braille book your student would like to read, please email the title, and I can print it for you. And make it available for you for pick up at your student's school.
Don't rule out public libraries! The Longview Public Library has a way to get eBooks and eAudiobooks.
