About Me

My name is Joshua Sapienza. I am a senior at Rock Canyon High School. My hobbies are outdoor activities such as running, skiing, and hiking.

I have been interested in looking into the endangered porpoise species, the vaquita, since my sophomore year of high school. I started looking into the species for a project where I researched an endangered species, and I chose the vaquita. Since then, I have checked up on the population about once every two months, and it continued to decrease. As I have watched the population decline to less than ten individual porpoises, I knew I wanted to research the porpoise species in some way.
