My name is Olivia Gallo and I am a senior at Rock Canyon High School going through the AP Capstone Diploma program. I am interested in gender equality and psychology, and that is what led me to my research topic. I am involved in choir, theatre, activism groups, and academic honors societies. I am driven to be the best leader I can be and love others as well as I can.

I have always been involved with psychological research, it has always interested me. Previously, I have written multiple academic papers with psychological and gender influence. The papers I have written:
How can stereotyping of racial or ethnic groups associated with different emotions be abolished in the United States?
How American Society Can Help Fight Anxiety in Teenage Girls
The Psychological Impacts of Fashion on Women
I have a huge heart for women's equality, and last year one of my best friends and I started the Women's Empowerment and Equality Club. It is a place where we talk about feminism and fight for change in our school to get equal treatment for women.
My family has always been the biggest part of my life. My mom is my biggest role model because she is the best leader I know. My interest in research has always been sparked by her because she has continually pushed me to be my best and be curious and ask questions about the things that interest me.
My friends have constantly been my largest supporters. They always love on me and push me to be the most successful I can be. They care about my when I am down, and always build me back up. They are the largest blessing in my life.
