I think my biggest growth as a photographer this semester is that I now have a better idea of how to recognize when there are opportunities to take photos. I also think that I got a better understanding of how to change the settings to get the best result from the camera without editing. Along with now knowing many more ways of the editing part of photography that can help the picture look better. Some things that I didn't know about Photography before was that you can make a bad photo look really good just by changing the crop ratios. Another thing that I did not know before about Photography is that It takes more than just clicking a button to take a picture and there is a lot of thought on what the settings should be before you even take the photo. My favorite things to photograph are nature landscapes. This did not change going from Photo I to Photo II. But I also really like to photograph wildlife and take MACRO pictures. Over the semester my photographs have improved because I have really gotten a better understanding of how the camera works. But I also got better at the technics that I uses when taking the photographs . Like I learned how to change the focus area of the camera. For my Photography in the future I hope to improve on really knowing exactly when/how much you have to change the Shutter Speed verses when/how much you have to change the Aperture. But I also want to learn how to take more commercial like photos of anything really but mainly of different foods. I would like to learn how to do this because one thing that I want to do in life is maybe pursue a career in a culinary art, probably the pastry/baking side of culinary. And if I want to make sure that my products are marketed right and look the best that they can, then I have to make sure I have the skill to do so. But I also make want to pursue a side career of taking nature landscape photos or wildlife photos. And I know have the knowledge of how to make my landscape photos better because I know how to do HDR pictures using a tripod and editing them in photoshop. But apart from just taking photos, being in the class itself is a really fun experience. I like that we get to walk around the school to take some of the practice pics and sometimes we just take a walk for us to take a break.
