Biography
Hello there! My name is Ian Chu, and I am a senior at Rock Canyon High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. I love staying active by skiing, hiking and playing volleyball. When I'm at home, I love watching science fiction movies and hanging out with my little brother. When I took AP Seminar during my junior year, I became deeply intrigued with the idea of conducting my very own research to be regarded in widespread academic discussions.
Research Typology
I am a conceptual theorist. This type of thinking attempts to find the multiple causations and developments of a problem and finding a way to connect them through massive amounts of correlation. Even though this type of researcher prefers the scientific fields of research, I believe that the methods associated with the type of researcher could also be effectively applied to social sciences.
One of the methods that appeals most to me as a conceptual theorist is correlational research where the data is collected and the amount of correlation is determined between the given variables. Also, factor analysis is an effective research method that calculates the statistical relationship between numerous amounts of variables.
