Nearly Done!
PROGRESS:
I have officially concluded my research. I have collected all of the raw data I needed and I am in the process of bringing all the data together and analyzing it.
In my previous blog, I stated how I was unsure of how much data I should gather, but with the help of Ms. Dobos, I was able to settle on researching 3 years before the Covid-19 Pandemic began. This made my research so much more feasible and easier to understand. I have created charts and graphs that bring all of the information I have gathered together, these will be included in my final paper.

Moreover, I have gathered many more scholarly articles that I did not have at the beginning of my research journey, which I can use to connect to my research. Between now and the next blog post, I will have concluded my analysis and presentation. I will keep you updated on how that goes!
CONCLUSION:
My research has helped me understand how large of a role child labor contributes to many poor Latin American families.
I have debunked my hypothesis of child labor helping the economy and found out that the opposite occurs. Single children might financially help their families in the short term, but the lack of education and opportunities to work higher end jobs creates a vicious cycle for these kids and the future generations that come from them. Poverty is the cause and consequence of child labor.
Special Thanks! Thank you for taking the time to review my research and keep up with my work, I will be sure to keep you updated with the results of my work.
