About Me

My name is Brooke Ferrel and I am a senior at Rock Canyon High School. A few fun facts about me is that I have been playing the violin since I was four years old and I have four siblings! I have loved being able to work on my research on a topic that interests me in the AP Research class.

Future Plans

I plan to go to college next year and major in genetics and minor in psychology and music. I hope to then get into a genetic counselor graduate program. From there, I hope to work as an inpatient genetic counselor.

Research Interests

I have decided that correlational research is the most appealing to me, which puts me into the category of a conceptual theorist. This means that I appreciate looking at two variables and seeing if there is a relationship between the two. This can be seen through my research that is clearly a correlational study. I am looking at the relationship between general surgeons' job satisfaction and the number of malpractice cases they have faced.
