Valerie Roman is a native of Buffalo, NY. She attended Baldwin Wallace College Conservatory of Music, and graduated in 2008 with Bachelor's in Music Education. Mrs. Roman has been Director of Orchestras at Brunswick High School since 2008-2009 school year. In 2012, Mrs. Roman completed her master's degree in Music Education at The University of Akron. Mrs. Roman's primary performing instrument is the violin, and has performed as a substitute violinist in the Ashland Symphony Orchestra in Ashland, Ohio. She currently studies violin with Cory Smith of the Akron Symphony Orchestra. Mrs. Roman also serves as an OMEA String judge for Solo and Ensemble events. She also enjoys directing the Medina County Fair Honors Orchestra every summer.
