Occupational Therapy Activities for the week of March 30, 2020

Below are some fun ways to use play dough. Use what you already have or make your own! There are many benefits to playing with play dough. It is a fun way to strengthen hands, practice using the 2 hands together and work on grasping patterns. Use your imagination and let's see what you can make. For an even bigger challenge, try using modeling clay. Feel free to email me a picture of your creation!

Lego printable

Create your own Lego character! Either recreate your favorite character or make your own. Make sure you include any tools or equipment your character would need. For example, if I were to make a baker I would add a chef's hat, an apron, a rolling pin in one hand and maybe a cupcake in the other. When you are done drawing your Lego character write a few sentences describing him/her. Be sure to include important information about your character such as name, skills, super powers, etc.

When writing, remember to leave spaces between your words and don't forget tall letters, short letters and law breakers.*

*Tall letters - b ,d, f, h, k, l, t

*Short letters - a, c, e, i, m, n, o, r, s, u, v, w, x, z

*Law breakers - g, j, p, q, y

It's time to move! This game can be played alone or take turns with your sibling. Cut out the animal brain breaks. Place the cards upside down in a pile. Choose one card from the pile and perform the activity on the card.
