Academy uniform

Moving forward, Rye Hills Academy will be having a new logo which will appear on school blazers and PE kit. Currently, the rest of the uniform will be the same as previous years.

All students are expected to wear an academy blazer and tie. Your parents and carers can buy these from Quickastitch in Redcar. Jumpers are optional but if you want to wear one, these must also by bought from Quickastitch.

Trousers and skirts must be plain black. Skinny style trousers are not allowed. Skirts must be knee length and not tight. You are not allowed to wear leggings or trousers that look like leggings or jeans material.

School shirts can be bought from any shop but must be plain white.

Shoes must be black, logo-free and smart. Trainers (including black trainers), sandals, boots are not allowed.

Students are allowed to wear a watch. No other jewellery is allowed.

False nails and piercings are not allowed. Students should not wear nail varnish.

If you want to get your ears pierced over the summer holidays please do this at the beginning so they have time to heal. You will be asked to remove earrings in September.

PE Kit

Physical activity and exercise are such a valuable part of your health. All students should be aware of their responsibility to come fully prepared for all PE activities. Even if you are not taking part, you will still need to bring your complete PE kit as you will be assessed in different roles.

Your PE kit will be:

· Black/orange reversible games shirt

or black/orange polo shirt

· Plain black shorts

· Shin pads

· Football boots for all boys (and girls wishing to play in the school football team)

· Trainers

· Trainers or plimsoles for dance/yoga/gymnastics/trampoline

Optional extra’s for poor weather conditions:

· Black/orange hoody

· Plain black tracksuit bottoms
