Welcome to the Academy Year 6 Transition Page
Hello Year 6.
We are really looking forward to you joining Rye Hills Academy and can’t wait to meet you in person.
Rye Hills joined a new multi academy trust (NELT) on June 1st. Therefore you're experience starting Year 7 will be slightly different from that of any older brothers, sisters, cousins or friends already in Y8 and above.
Although you have not been able to visit the academy in person, because of the risks associated with bringing together 200 children from over 23 primary schools, arrangements are in place for staff to meet you virtually. Between now and July, a member of academy staff will be in contact with your Year 6 class teacher to organise a virtual 'meet and greet'. You will be able to ask them questions about Rye Hills and they will show you a presentation about what Year 7 life will be like. Here are some key dates:

Unfortunately there will be no face to face transition for Year 6 this year.
Please keep checking either Facebook or our website for transition updates.
Because you cannot be in school to see what it is like, we have put lots of information in this website for you.

Uniform information
Uniform (blazer and tie) can be purchased directly from Quickastitch in Redcar.
Your child will have been placed in a college and should therefore wear the correct coloured tie. More information on uniform, colleges and the tie colours can be found by clicking on this link
PE kit can be purchased directly from Motif8.
