Steps to creating your own DRAGON'S DEN:

First make sure students know what they are getting into:

First - explain about the ENGINEERING CYLCE - aka - THE DESIGN PROCESS

THEN come up with a DESIGN QUESTION:

Can you make something useful with a circuit? You have been hired by an engineering team to make something unique to pitch to the Dragons at a Dragon's Den.

The ENGINEERING Design Cycle

1. Define the Problem - empathize with the "client" - what do you need to make?

2. Think of ways to solve the problem through research and or interviews.

3. Make a prototype to help solve the problem.

4. Test the prototype to see if can solve the problem.

5. Get advice from "critical friends" to help your prototype to be better.

6. Use the advice from the critical friends to make the prototype the best it can be.
