Caregivers can gain deep insights into their child’s learning by regularly, with their child, reviewing both the myBlueprint portfolio and the real-time assessment summary in PowerSchool. Caregivers can also comment on their child's portfolio as part of feedback and encouragement. They also are encouraged to support the concept of risk-taking and mistake making at home by asking questions like:
What mistakes did you make today?
How did you grow from them?
What learning targets are you currently struggling with and what support do you need to be successful?
What would you do differently if you were to complete that project again?
Where are you now and how will you improve?

Learners are encouraged to show their families with their QR codes or by logging in, so that they can then discuss and share their artifacts.
Caregivers can also be invited into myBlueprint directly by the teacher in their myBlueorint class. Families will then receive an email from myBlueprint to set up an account to have access to all their children in one account. Caregivers can then comment and view their child's portfolios.
Educators can put in PowerTeacher a link to the caregiver portal when referring to artifacts in myBlueprint.

Developing and setting goals with learners can also help support three-way conferences with families.
What goals are you hoping to achieve? What actionable steps will help you get there?
How might we help you achieve these goals? Consider asking your child these questions:
What is the purpose of a digital portfolio?
What skills/competencies are developed through portfolio creation?
At school, when do you add to your portfolio?
What is enjoyable about creating a digital portfolio?
What is challenging about creating a digital portfolio?
Outside of school, what are some other reasons for creating a digital portfolio?
Can you share with us the portfolio artifact that you are most proud of and why?
