Our original questions:
1.What was it like in the 1900s for people who looked, acted, loved, and believed different than what people want?
Black people at one point in time were allowed to vote and be like white people. Most people don't care that there a different there proud to be of a different race. This generation has come along since black people couldn't get jobs. If your any different race your role is still to be human no matter what color you are or how you act. Martin Luther King Jr.'s speech "I had a dream" won a Nobel prize. In 1932 half of the African American population had no work. Northern cities asked for African Americans to be fired so that the white people can take their work. After the great depression, it affected African Americans the most.
2.Was it as big of a deal about how you looked or what you believe in, in the 1900s?
In some places, it wasn't a big deal if you looked different or had a different belief but other places don't care. but if they do care then it can affect your future and your paycheck.
3.What is the difference between the past and we treated people versus now?
1940: 60% of black women had worked as domestic servants. Today's number is 2.2%. 1958: 44% of white people said they would move if a black person moved right next door to them. Now it is 1%. 1964: The great civil rights act was passed. Only 18% of white people claimed to have a black friend. Now 86% has a black friend. In 1793 slavery have taken the strongest hold on America. During the 17th and 18th centuries, black people were kidnapped from Africa and forced into slavery. they would harvest things such as tobacco, cotton, and crops. Slavery started in 6800 BC and ended in April 1865. 12.5 million African Americans were shipped to the New World.
4.What did people do to make it better now than in the past?
Although a lot of African Americans normally voted Republican, the election of President Roosevelt began to change voting patterns. Roosevelt started tackling the problem of racism. June 1981 Roosevelt issued order 8802. It created fair employment practices committee. That was the most important move for the rights of African Americans. After that African American women received better pay. After the civil war slavery was gone but discrimination wasn’t.
5. How can this generation make it even better and fairer for people of a different race?
Everything that this generation can do is help people today and try and stop racism and hope that in the later years such as 2030 and 2040 that what we did will help it become better in those years. Today's number is 2.2%. this generation can give faith to 2030 to have a better and fairer future.

our original questions:
Is there ever a benefit for the person who is treating the other person unequally? if there is what is the benefit?
The one-word answer is No, but why no? There is never a benefit to the person who has treated other races or genders unequally. If there was our world would be way more cruel and unfair because then everyone would want to treat someone differently for that benefit.
Is there a reason for people to be treated unequally? Did they a race, culture, or gender do something to deserve it?
there is no true reason for people of a different race or gender to be treated unfairly. A race, culture, and gender did not do anything to deserve it or have it happen to them.
Why is it that we never noticed how well we have been treated until we see someone who is being mistreated?
I think the reason why we have never noticed how well we have been treated until we see other people getting mistreated is because we never really paid attention to the way we are treated and how good we are treated, but some people think about how grateful they should be when they don’t get something. Most other people of a different race appreciate everything they get. Also when you see someone getting mistreated you would have never noticed people getting treated poor and that makes you realize how lucky you are that you don’t get treated like that.
Where do people get the idea from to be racist or unequal to other humans? Did a person who is unequal
make someone else think that way?
Most people become racist from their relatives and people around them and so on but how do they become racist. For some reason, a big cause of racism is that people think black people are threats and really mean and aggressive. A lot of the time it is also because of quick judgments, for example, if they are very loud, or aggressive it puts a bad name on everyone in that race.
Our jot notes: Some people get hate and discrimination so much they pay 150-400 dollars to get their skin Color changed and you have to get that done 10-30 times for it to look really real and you have to pay the same amount each time so for 15 treatments it would cost you 3,000 if you paid 200 if you paid 300 per treatment it would be 4,500 and if you a paid 150 it's 2,250 and lastly if you did 400 it would end up being 6,000 dollars and that could cause them to get poor or even homeless. The cause of inequality is normally a person who thinks there different than someone with a different race, or culture normally it's the people who are now white who is getting all this hate and discrimination because all of the white people think that they have more right, or think they are better.
Perspective
our original questions:
Who are people who have experienced inequality?
Michelle Obama has experienced inequality just because she is black and because she was married to Barack Obama and she experienced this because he was the first-ever black president. Barack Obama has also experienced inequality just because he was the first-ever black president but I get how that’s a big deal it should be celebrated but not in a bad way in a good way knowing that we are being ruled by a fair president.
Here are some more people who what experienced inequality Obama, Emma Watson, Kerry Washington, Beyoncé, Mindy Kaling, Oprah, and etc. Most races experience inequality such as Asians, African Americans, Hispanic, Latin, Indian, Jewish, and all the others! Women, LGBTQIA+ people.
Is there a difference between how women experience inequality versus how men experience it?
Men and boys are not educated about gender equality as much a women and girls learn about it so there is a difference but throughout the things that I have seen it's been girls getting treated unfairly, I have seen boys now not as many. From the research from this website. It seems as the girls are getting treated unfairly more than the boys and the boys are giving them that gut feeling that they're not good enough for this world or even for their family.
"Equals should be treated equally and unequals unequally. Individuals should be treated the same unless they differ in ways that are relevant to the situation in which they are involved." says SCU.EDU
Lets' say Jack and Jill both do the same work, and there are no differences between them or the work they are doing, then should be paid the same wages and if Jack gets paid more than Jill because he is a man, or because he is white, then that is not justice.
Here is a picture of how much less a woman gets paid than a man.https://www.ipsos.com/sites/default/files/inline-images/how-men-and-women-view-gender-equality.jpg
1 in 5 females between the ages of 15 to 49 has reported that they have experienced physical or sexual violence. In many places not that long ago females couldn’t even go to school. They would be stuck at home cleaning.
Why does being different have to affect someone’s future, career, and wealth?
I think they get less pay because they are scared that someone different than them could do better than them and since they have mistreated them it would be bad embarrassing to watch someone they have mistreated do better than them and have to admit that they are better them.
