Class overview 

This is a two semester course that will explore pharmacy practices. Students will gain knowledge of all  types of pharmacy settings.  After successful completion of Pharmacy Technician I students will complete experiential learning at one of our partner pharmacy sites for Pharmacy Technician II.  Students will take the  National Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam and upon passing obtain certification that will allow them to work as a licensed technician anywhere in the United States.    

Highlights  

Students enrolled in this course have  the opportunity to participate in hands-on simulation (50 hours) and experiential learning (130 hours) that prepare them for their future career in pharmacy. We focus on all of the different career paths that are open to pharmacy technicians.
