Enrollment Criteria for Pharmacy Technician I:
Satisfactory Completion of Algebra I and at least three years of High School level English
Minimum cumulative GPA 2.0
Juniors/ Seniors only (age 16 by the first day of class)
Qualifications for Pharmacy Technician II:
In order to complete experiential learning which is a course requirement for part II you must:
Students must have completed Pharmacy Technician I with a minimum grade of a “C” throughout the entire program. Students must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher and be in good standing at the Richmond Technical Center and their “home school”.
No disciplinary actions / refers at either school location
Demonstrated good leadership traits and professionalism
Successful completion of all in school clinical practices and assignments with a score of at least 75%.
Must register with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee.
Maintain all professional standards as outlined by training program and experiential site.
Successfully completed HIPAA, OSHA, and BSL training.
Covid vaccination as required by most of our training sites.
Students and parents/guardians have read and signed all necessary forms.
