Ms. Kessler's Science Lab

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Welcome back to school! Science provides children with the opportunity to explore, make mistakes and learn from them, experiment, improve designs, and use creativity to solve problems.

I received my master’s degree in elementary education from Fairleigh Dickinson University and have been teaching for the past 15 years. My experience, both as a teacher and as a science enthusiast, will help to foster a sense of curiosity in your young thinkers.

As the year begins, we will spend some time learning the routines of the science lab, as well as getting to know each other as scientists. As we explore new academic topics, we will also work on becoming a strong community together. When students feel safe and comfortable in their classrooms, they are better able to take on academic challenges.

As young engineers, I will be reminding each child that failure is what makes improvement possible and that things rarely happen perfectly the first time around. I encourage you to reach out with suggestions, questions, or recommendations regarding anything that has to do with science and/or STEM.

Warmest Regards,

Jennifer Kessler
