The Art Crawl, sponsored by the Book Lovers Study Club, will return to Downtown Russellville in 2025. It will take place during the Spring Break weeks for both Franklin County and Russellville City Schools. Artists, be on the lookout for more details!
The inaugural Art Crawl in 2024, led by Mrs. Lela Wright Ray, showcased artwork from local artists displayed in various downtown businesses. Russellville Main Street is excited to participate again, partnering with business and property owners to display artwork. This event is a wonderful example of community collaboration!

The Franklin County Watermelon Festival is a 2-day, free admission event full of vendors, car shows, watermelon contests, 5K & fun run, kid zone, live entertainment, and FREE WATERMELONS! This festival started in 1981 and has continued to grow every year! Come celebrate in Franklin County: The Watermelon Capital of Alabama!

A collaborative endeavor thanks to community, business, and religious leaders, this annual festival will showcase the diverse Latin cultures present in our local community. Not only will this event expose festival goers to the diversity within the Latino community, but it will also promote cultural unity and foster positive relationships. This all-day, family-focused interactive event will feature live entertainment, dancing competitions, hands-on children’s activity tents, a street soccer match, a vintage car show, and a closing parade. Of course, we will host food trucks and vendors too.
