The College Application Process Checklist

• List of schools you’re applying to (2 year? 4 year? In-state? Out-of-State? Public? Private?)

  • • • Need help with the application fee? You may be eligible for a waiver!

• Learn the submission deadlines (Regular, ED, Rolling or Continuous)

• Visit the campus if possible (or visit virtually by going here)

• Speak with a representative or recruiter from that college

• Complete application(s)

• Complete FAFSA Application beginning October 1, 2020 https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa

  • • • • Most school require a complete FAFSA application to be considered for scholarships

• High school transcript (request from registrar, Ms. Clack via this form https://forms.gle/vMzf7RMpgK4Wgc3c7)

• ACT and/or SAT scores (dates listed under this section of the website)

• Personal application essay prompt / guidelines

• Personal app essay

• Recommendation letters (1 personal, 2 professional)

• Other documentation to submit along with the application (proof of residency, immunization record if living on-campus, etc.)

• Details of where and how to submit (typically you will work with your registrar or admissions officer)

• List of questions to ask if you cannot find the information on the college website
