Shoes
EVERY runner should have running shoes (also known as "trainers")for everyday practice, and for warming up at meets. DO NOT WEAR YOUR COMPETITION SHOES AT PRACTICE!
STRONGLY RECOMMENDED: Specialized shoes for your event at meets. There are different competition shoes for different events. Check out this website to learn what you will need for your specific events. Also talk to your coaches prior to making a purchase if you are unsure of what you should buy.

Or
Rogan's Shoes (on Washington Avenue, near the Piggly Wiggly). Make sure to ask the staff at Rogan's to point you directly to running shoes. Walking shoes, cross training shoes, etc., are different. Just because they look athletic doesn't mean they were built for running. Make sure they're running shoes!
