23-24 Parental Notice for Medicaid Billing

September 15, 2023

Dear parents/guardians of , 

This is the notification of your rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) regarding Medicaid billing. IDEA allows certain services provided under an IEP to be covered by Medicaid. The Wisconsin Medicaid school­based services benefit is a way for school districts to receive additional federal revenue. These services include attendant care services, nursing services, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language services, specialized medical transportation, psychological services, counseling, social work services, and developmental testing and assessment.

Esta es la notificacion de sus derechos segun la Ley de Educacion para Individuos con Discapacidades (IDEA) con respecto a la facturacion a Medicaid. La ley IDEA permite que ciertos servicios prestados incluidos en un IEP sea cubierto por Medicaid. El beneficio de servicios basados en la escuela de Wisconsin Medicaid es una forma de que los distritos escolares reciban ingresos federales adicionales. Estos servicios incluyen servicios de atencion de asistente, servicios de enfermeria, fisioterapia, terapia ocupacional, servicios de! habla y de! lenguaje, transporte medico especializado, servicios psicologicos, orientacion psicologica, servicios de trabajo social, y pruebas y evaluacion de desarrollo.

Dear parents/guardians of ,

This document talks about important special education rights you have as a parent. The rights protect you and your child. We must tell you about all these rights even though some things may not relate to your child at this time. If you have any questions about your rights, call your child's school. Special Education law requires that the school district give this to you once per year or upon your request. If you file a due process complaint, you will receive another copy.

Es nuestro deber informarle sobre estos derechos, aunque algunos de ellos no apliquen a su estudiante en este memento. Si tiene cualquier pregunta sobre sus derechos, llame a la escuela de su estudiante. La ley de Educaci6n Especial requiere que el distrito escolar le de esto una vez por afio o cuando usted lo pida. Si usted hace una queja de proceso reglamentario, se le dara otra copia.
